Minerva Police Report

On May 26, 12:55 p.m. police received a report for vandalism at a residence on Adelaide St. Information was obtained for a report.

On May 28, 2:20 a.m. while on a traffic stop police arrested Robert Cheatam, Massillon, for driving under suspension, traffic control device, failure to display plate, unauthorized use of a vehicle, possession of drug abuse instruments and felony tampering with evidence. Information was obtained for a report. Cheatam was transported to Stark County Jail and is scheduled to appear in Alliance Municipal Court.

On May 28, 3:41 p.m. police received a report for dogs running at large on W. Plain St. The owner was located and the dog returned. Information was obtained for a report and sent to the Carroll County Dog Warden for review.

On May 29, 3:13 a.m. police received a report for a domestic dispute at a residence on W. Plain St. Randy Byrd, Camby, Indiana, was arrested for domestic violence. Information was obtained for a report. Byrd was transported to Carroll County Jail and is scheduled to appear in Carroll County Court.

On May 29, 11:30 a.m. police received a report for found property of a debit card located on Rt. 183. Information was obtained for a report and the debit card was turned over to Huntington Bank.

On May 29, 3:05 p.m. police received a report for theft from a vehicle at a residence on W. Plain St. Information was obtained for a report.

On May 29, 3:31 p.m. police received a report for a domestic dispute at a residence on W. Line St. Information was obtained for a report.

On May 29, 5 p.m. police received a report of vandalism from a resident on Pennsylvania Ave. Information was obtained for a report.

On May 29, 7:09 p.m. while on a traffic stop police charged Eric Shingleton, Minerva, with driving under suspension, no motorcycle endorsement and display of plates. Information was obtained for a report and Shingleton is scheduled to appear in Carroll County Court.

On May 29, 10:10 p.m. police received a report for a domestic dispute at a residence on King St. Information was obtained for a report and sent to the prosecutor's office for review.

On May 29, 11:00 p.m. police received a report for a missing juvenile from a residence on Murray Ave. After a brief investigation the juvenile was located and returned home. Information was obtained for a report and sent to the juvenile prosecutor for review.

On May 30, 12:11 a.m. police arrested Brandon Barringer, Minerva, on a warrant out of Minerva Mayor's Court for failure to pay fines and cost for drug abuse, possession of marijuana drug paraphernalia and obstructing official business. Information was obtained for a report. Barringer posted bond and the warrant was canceled.

On May 30, 3:54 a.m. police received a report for a domestic dispute at a residence on W. Line St. Information was obtained for a report.

On May 30, 3:05 p.m. police arrested Terry Cassidy, Canton, on a warrant out of Minerva Mayor's Court for failure to pay fines and cost for speeding. Information was obtained for a report and Cassidy is scheduled to appear in Minerva Mayor's Court.

June 1, 12:22 a.m. police arrested Douglas Arkenburgh, Minerva, on a warrant out of Carroll County for non-support. Information was obtained for a report; Arkenburgh was turned over to Carroll County.

Accidents

On May 27, 2:12 p.m. a vehicle operated by Thomas Vasilliu, Minerva, and a vehicle operated by Jacob Polen, Minerva, struck each other will backing out of private driveways on W. Line St. No injuries and light damage reported.

On May 29, 9:35 p.m. a vehicle operated by Robert Irwin, Minerva, struck a vehicle operated by Jennifer Johnson, Minerva, on W. Lincolnway. No injuries and light damage reported. Irwin was cited for assured clear distance and is scheduled to appear in Minerva Mayor's Court.

On June 1, 7:26 a.m. a vehicle operated by Lauren Harding, Louisville, struck a vehicle operated by Fredrick Schmidt, Ashland, on W. Line St. No injuries and light damage report. Harding was cited for left of center and is scheduled to appear in Minerva Mayor's Court.
