Malvern sensation Zoe Moser capped off a brilliant freshman campaign with a pair of All-Ohio finishes at the 2017 State Track and Field Championships.

The speedster competed at the famed Jesse Owens Stadium on the campus of The Ohio State University this past weekend.

During the prelims on Friday morning, Moser qualified to the finals in both the 100 (12.38) and 200 (25.75).

A day later, she claimed her first All-Ohio honor as she finished fifth in the 100 with a time of 12.58.

"My start today was way better than yesterday," noted Moser.

"I felt good throughout the race. I'm excited to be here and make the podium. It's been great to have Kelsi (Hulit) down here with me. She has been here before and has helped me throughout the season."

About an hour later, Moser hit the track in the 200, where she placed fifth in 25.76.

"Getting on the podium is all I wanted to do, and to do it in two events is amazing," commented Moser.

"I had another good start, and I felt strong throughout the entire race. I'd like to thank my coaches, my mom and my friends. This has been a great experience."

It's been quite the first year of track for Moser. She broke the school record in both the 100 (12.3) and 200 (25.5), won the 100 and 200 at the IVC Championships with record times, and claimed both regional and district titles in the 100 and 200.

"This has been an amazing season for Zoe," stated Head Coach Jeremy Maher. "She has been one of the leaders of our team the entire year and we couldn't be more proud of her. This was our goal since the beginning of the season.

"We are grateful for all the help along the way from the school, parents and booster club, and I also want to congratulate all the other IVC athletes who represented the league at the state meet."
